You know, i really love the paradox games so don't get me wrong, but those two guys up there are a real eyesore... I mean look at them! Whats going on with their pant? They look like right out of the 70's - but not the 1770s!. And the move like they where dancing to the Theme of Shaft...
My complaint is about two things here... first - the uniforms are ahistorical. And i dont mean, that you guys need to look up every single Uniform for every decade and put them in the game - No, thats not what i mean. A general Cliché of a typical 17/18th century uniform is fine. But this footwear here is totally wrong! Just an example:http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4HWNtNL5O78/TRYy_xKCVdI/AAAAAAAAAKc/gs07YdKj42c/s1600/0070.jpg
My second complaint makes the first one obsolete: Do you need to put this 3D Puppets in there? I like the flag thing in the background, but honestly, those guys add nothing to atmosphere. Just look at EUIII and the naval battles:

Man, that painted ship always looked great and even greater when you heard the cannons fireing...
So why don't you use some battlepainting, even if they look more generic. But those dancing buddies are redicoulous.

Since programers discovered 3D they put it everywhere. Warpaintings or even simple drawings look so much better. I just have to think of the old Total War Medieval, with the sketch illustrations of the events - it was perfect and somehow left more to imagination. Then in Medieval II the screwed everything up by mediocre animations they went on for to long anyways... Well i guess thats a matter of taste, anyway. But i wanted to get that of my chest.
Keep up your great work!
