Even making PIAT teams into 3 man squads would seem to make them better. Keep the double star. I think the 3rd man would be the one to make it out alive and possibly get a change later to fire the PIAT.

Really, this probably needs to be applied to all 2 man teams. Hoping this is addressed uniformly in the next patch though.

Yes, Two man teams (including flamethrowers and the like) really need help, even adding another 2 guys would be great.

2 Man recon teams should be left alone, however, since they serve a different purpose.

To me, what really makes this division stand out is its recon infantry, therefore I think they are best suited for the forest. They dont have a proper flamer squad but in the forest the support flamers can do the trick, they also have good 100m with ab paras compared to most phase a infantry.

Other than that the rest of their infantry seem to be cost effecient and highly skilled, they have acsess to high AP tanks, anti tanks and anti tank tanks. They also sport some of the highest quality fighters and the amazing mosquito pathfinder.

Solid qualities like these makes it a very confortable division with little to ask for and a few things to celebrate, oh and I almost forget the redicilous amount of off map arti. seems like a very solid division, keep in mind I am not uber experienced.

Shrek teams are fine and zooka teams aren't really used due to lines having them. Really all PIAT teams should have 3 men.

Universal 3 man flamers for everyone is something I could support.

Commandoes could be truly unique units as Recon units in infantry tab. Recon traits prevent enemy from locating them by front-line, and 10-15 man strength make short work of enemy they ambush. However giving only one faction special forces would lead to massive amount of salty tears and subsequent nerfs.

Thats why they shouldnt be implemented as "sf" but as SF trained infantry, during normandy they no longer acted like raiders etc, they took on a more conventional role after the immediate D-Day events to sure up the british left flank alongside the belgians, dutch and airborne.

Very nice changes overall. I just wish their reliance on offmap were diminished more, so maybe a few more tweaks, but overall very good changes. I've played them quite since the patch.

Doesn't appear that much change was made to any off-map........which is..... bleh.

Are the turret rotation speeds on the Tetrarchs proving useful?

well part of the problem is the UK para have kind of meh equipment compare to their US and Ger counter part: 2x fg42, 6x g43, 2xlmg34 + faust is extravagantly equipped for an infantry squad. US Paratroopers closely rival the ger FJ with 12 men squad with m1919a6 and bazooka.

By comparison, the UK para are still using the sten, lee enfield, and bren, and the bren is just bad:
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...s-lmg34-redux-with-modding-tool-help.1028530/

the UK para also lack the "elite" land speed the US para and FJ get.
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...-para-land-speed-vs-ger-fj-landspeed.1029730/

historically the 6th AB were reinforced with the free belgian and dutch infantry brigade in august. This is where the phase C staghound and AA staghound come from. The 6th should have regular infantry and 25 pounder as well to represent the infantry brigade .

If the 101st is the counterpart to the 3rd FJ, then the 6th should be the counter part to the 91 luft.

They also had commando troops with them from pretty much the start till the end of the Normandy campaign :)

Of course this is a huge overreaction.
The worst seems to be pancerna and many others.
http://www.strawpoll.me/13208748/r

I always liked 6 ab just because i dont have to be a 101 tryhard and play it instead.

Played least =/= worst though, theres several factors that could contribute to this.

Personal preff of playstyle.
Specific units used.
Interest in the division or a specific brigade/regiment within it.

So on. Not saying that the 6 AB is worst than the Polish, just saying that its kind of a bad way to say "what is bad", especially given how some terrible units in games become highly popular due to uniqueness or interest (tog 2 of world of tanks im looking at you bro)

I played them last night in a 4v4. 3 of the opposing players were not very good 12th SS players but I ran into some quirks. One, most of my force was fighting a 716th player and I had no answer to the flame tanks. I never really lost the town I was fighting in, but it was brutal. Still needed to completely rely on the off-map to keep me in it there.

Two...... the 6 pders, I dunno if it was just bad luck, but I hit a Beute Firefly 4 times at probably 800m range with a 3 star 6 pder and couldn't kill the damn thing. Really underwhelmed when I saw that. The division overall seemed to play exactly the same and had I been against better players, I should've been pushed off the map.

The whole running out of infantry thing is still well, a thing.

the elite six pounders certainly help a lot and resolve one of the Divs biggest issues, which is lacking AT capability.
But they are still at the very end of the food chain, no doubt.
the biggest problem i see now, is lacking availability. Infantry fights are extremely atricious and 6AB is just prone to running out of manpower in prolonged games, while the enemy can still throw stuff at you.
i suggest increasing availability on AB Paras and AB Bren Groups from 4 to 6 per card, and Airlanding from 6 to 8 per card. also, as suggested earlier, icreasing Airlanding squadsize to 9 or 10 could go a long way in this regard.
Then there is still the issue with the terrible bren gun and overall lack of firesupport, but one step at a time, right?

I think 716th is the bane of this division. The flame tanks in Phase A in towns are murder. I mean fine, that makes sense from an asymmetrical perspective, but God damn when 716th more or less kneecaps you, you know you're in a tough spot on the totem pole.

Gonna need Air Landing in Phase A or maybe we get a buff to AB PIAT teams by putting them to 4 men.

Division is still too reliant on off-map to fight pretty much anything.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I'd like to see some BOYS AT snipers in this deck (maybe in a recon role?)... sneaking behind enemy lines taking out light tanks from the rear, or light vehicles frontally (I don't mean big explosions, though they were capable of exploding fuel tanks, but maybe a high crit chance "stun locking" light vehicles with bail out etc, or killing drivers etc):

It would have less range then the piat and woooooorse AP. Its already on 1 of the carriers in the game iirc, so you can see the "vehicle borne" stats. If it was used as an anti infantry weapon, it would be interesting though,
