I've started several games in the past few days, and in each one, almost every system has one or more 6 mineral orbital deposits. Is this a new balance patch? If so, I can't find it listed in any patch notes. If I'm reading the 01_orbital_deposits.txt file correctly, the weighting for these deposits should be zero, yet I'm seeing them everywhere.

Anyone else getting this, and is it intended?

They added them to a bunch of planet modifiers that have existed since the game launched, such as carbon worlds, asteroid belts, extensive moon system, etc. They were +7 at first, guess that was too much, though I haven't had to build a mining district until I get an ecumenopolis running since they were added, even with "just" +6. I wish they had made each one a unique value between ~1-7 instead of them all giving a better value than the best of anomaly awards though. Minerals are also worth much less to sell on the market now because the AI are constantly selling them.

I am pretty sure the AI was always selling. There was just a market bug where the prices went up when the AI sold, rather then down...

They now have significantly more to sell though, especially on higher difficulties with the modifiers they receive, and so combined these fixes have pushed minerals further down in value on the market.
