When I check in the "community" tab it seas that there is 493,720 registered users, but in the front of the forum it seas that there is 504,709. How meany people is there really registered?

639.592 according to the forum software. The difference is a number of them were bots, not real users. For example your user number is 500.927 despite registering half a year ago.

We should have passed the 500k by now though. Shams just likes to tease people:

I have no idea. Maybe an admin will tell. What is 'active' though? Logged in last year? Made at least one post this month?

That's a pretty big number if true, even if not all of them will be registered forum users.
