Half of his siblings are the same. I'm guessing a certian super courtier became the court tutor...
He's now in the middle of a Holy War and just lost a 25-martial commander.
Heh, I felt the same when I saw that the ERE Emperor had converted to Buddhism. Thankfully I had a claimant in my court and I was strong enough to force it while the Emperor was busy fighting the Blobassids. There are some deviations in CK2 that are kind of plausible and acceptable to me, but these kinds of things just drive me mad to the point of abandoning a few games if I am playing Ironman and can't fix them with the consoleView attachment 341917

Will altering any of the game setup options reduce the chance of these ridiculous events happening?
I mean if it happens in early start dates it usually cripples Catholicism with internal holy wars for generations leaving the Umayyads to steamroll. All because of a single religious flip.
OR = {
ai = no
AND = {
culture_group = ROOT
religion = ROOT
}
}
Good question. Not anything vanilla, and i'm not sure if the decision to script whom AI will assign minor titles to is moddable. I think something like court tutor should be restricted within culture group and within the same religious.

Lol I did that once. As a French vassal, got one of the distant Umayyad claimants as my councilor, who recently fled to my realm. I converted him and let him marry, he wanted a wife and I wanted his vote... I even married him to one of my kin, then forgot about it.The Umays could go catholic![]()
Ah, that hipster Basileus...Heh, I felt the same when I saw that the ERE Emperor had converted to Buddhism.

He left my court, who knows when. Probably, I fired him for someone with better stats who knows, and he ended up Emperor of Hispania. I wasn’t paying attention, until one day I was getting ready to attack south when I found out I could not holy war anyone... they were ruled by Catholics and the heir was my dynasty!!!
Sadly, my kin did not inherit. Unrest took that realm apart and most of Spain returned to Islamic rule. Not too bad for me me, since I was able to carve my own piece out of the turmoil. Holy war is good when you are the attacker.
Isn't westerners converting to Buddhism more hippie than hipster?Ah, that hipster Basileus...![]()
True enough.The Basileus would be doing it WAY before it was cool, though, which is the definition of hipster.
There are already requirements for honorary titles. Probably it would be pretty easy to add something like
Code:OR = { ai = no AND = { culture_group = ROOT religion = ROOT } }
if I have that code right...
