Hi!

I'm personally not a fan of the 50 year De Jure drift. In my opinion 50 years is way too short. Is there any way to bump this back to 100?

I appreciate that you may not wish to make this an official CK2+ change, so any advice on how to hack the game file would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Keep in mind de Jure drift only starts at the capital duchy first and/or only spreads to adjacent slots, unlike vanilla.

It's also in defines.lua if you don't end up liking it. That's something that can be changed mid-save iirc

I think I changed that. iirc I made it so they drift simultaneously. Also empires take the 100 years to drift, while kingdoms only take 50.

How does it spread? It's not a further 50 years for each duchy in a kingdom, is it?

If you toggle the setting, yes. Currently it's all at the same time, assuming full control.

For the alternative setting: Let's say you start with a titular kingdom. Only your capital will drift. Once those 50 years have passed, any duchies neighbouring your now newly de Jure capital duchy will being to drift, becoming de Jure in another 50 years. This prevents completely disjointed land from ever becoming de Jure (as an example)

I can't remember the name of the toggle in defines though, but that's how the alternative goes.

But this isn't toggled on as standard and have to be done so manually? Just open Defines.lua with a text editor and change, simple as that? And it can be done mid-save without messing anything important up?
