I bought it now, although I know that there will be another sale in 2 or 3 months were you'll get it for 5€.

still no luck in buyin this game. i just tryed click in buy with 2 different cards and am still gettin error messages.
I paid full price about 5 weeks ago. I am happy I had 5 weeks to play the game I wouldn't have had if I waited for the sale.
It being an addon it wasn't that expensive to start with imo, i got it on gg when it came out, perfectly worth it. Unlike stuff like mw2 that charges extra for delivering less, still can't understand anyone ever paying for that shit.

Yep, but maybe it's time to start reconsidering if it's worth to be a fan. To me rewarding loyal fans would seem like better policy (if you want to keep them) than making them regret their purchase by giving better deal to everyone else.
Gamersgate isn't the maker of HTTT though. They can hold sales whenever they want to without asking the developers about it, just like steam or any other store could.
Ah, I forgot that the GG has been recently separated from Paradox Interactive, but however it still remains as Paradox' primary distribution channel. But you are correct and I now direct my annoyance towards the GG and their horrible marketing policy which screws the fanboys. But I have to say that while GG is evil, Steam is even worse.
I wish that Paradox would re-open their own webshop. I can remember the happy days when I pre-ordered my EUIII and EU:Rome collector's editions from them and got all sorts of nice extra stuff. Now I'm forced to buy from companies who don't care about Paradox fanboys.

What bugs me most is that there isn't even an official 1.1 ready ... but it's already on sale :wacko:

I use paypal at gamersgate. I tried Click & Buy for my first purchase and just registering there took a long while and in the end they where never able to process my order (this was about 8 months ago or so). Also the process of transferring small amounts of money just to validate an account seems uncomfortable to me.
So I tried Paypal instead and could download the game 2 minutes later (and this includes the time to set up a paypal account).
A thought occurred to me- what % of EU3 sales were through gamersgate? I suspect it is very high, as few casual camers would be into EU3 and would go into a shop to buy it. With that in mind, doesn't it essentially mean that they have a monopoly on it? With other games, different companies compete in an open market to provide a cheaper product than their competitors, so we are a captive market, vulnerable to the pricing mechanism of a single company.
