Negative prestige

Hi,

I am playing as the King of Serbia in the 1337 scenario.

After a war I ended up with negative prestige (-2200). Don't know exactly why. I had a claim on the kingtitle of Hungary and a claim to the county title of Belgrade. The king of Hungary had no vassals so he had a pretty big army and used it well, but I defeated him and conquered Belgrade, because I began to run out of money I offered him peace. I gave up my claim to his throne and he recognized me as count of Belgrade. Then I checked my prestige and saw I had a negative prestige of -2200.

I thought well just conquer some muslim territory and it will go up, conquered a sheikdom in Asia minor, created a duchy title there and gave it to a relative, but only the creation of the duchy title gave me +100 prestige.

I then saw that Jerusalem was held by a single province sheik. I declared war and conquered Jerusalem, but I didn't gain any prestige or piety by doing that. I conquerd a few more territories created to duchies and gave them away again no increase in prestige for doing that.

Then thought ok, let's start marrying people of. First I married one in my own court I then saw that my prestige dropped even further. I tried another marriage (after a lot of no's, finally married a 17 year old to a 70 year old). But then my prestige was -2400.

So the bug is I think, that because everytime you marry some one, you get a percentage of you're prestige added to your prestige. But with negative prestige that means you lose prestige.

AFAIK the more you ask in a war the less prestige you gain.

I didn't know you could actually lose prestige by winning a war.

The marriage issue is a bug.
