You have reduced Burgundy to a vassal in waiting and can start the same process on the French.
Congratulations on 1000 replies.
You know, I should do that with France and wish I could say I did. But as I look over my notes, it appears I was obsessed over Burgundy. They really must have done me wrong.

I love this AAR. No matter how similar every war with Burgundy is, you manage to find a new and interesting way of telling it. Awesome!
Thank you so much for that compliment. I have feared that this constant war would be repetitious and boring. That you find it otherwise is a great boon.

babbling incoherently? was he a politician?
Funny you should say that because I did try and add a little of the modern politics into his reign. Perhaps he was and that is what killed him. Heh.

Kudos on the 1000th post (WOW!). I was wondering why you didn't ask for Othe or Vermandois so as to cut off Burgundy's capital from the sea - thereby eliminating their ability to further colonize? Part of a plan or role playing?
You know, as I think back on that, I think my thinking was that I was not yet ready to deal with France again, wanting to beat further on Burgundy. I did not want to add too many fronts for the French as well as rounding out those borders a bit more. You have to admit, the addition of Luxemburg does make that "corridor" section much prettier.

how does the colony capture work ? ?

it seems to me that you capture colonies just to give them back...
coz1: ...In one short decade, Burgundy had gone from one of the most prominent members of Europe to a quickly dying almost ran. It would have been a shame were it not such a glorious moment for our new Emperor.
so very true ! !
magnificent update ! !
and, congratulations on 1000 posts in the AAR ! !
Thanks GW. And I thought it fitting to mention. Burgundy had done quite a nice job until I interfered. As for colony capture - it depends on how large it is. If not yet a full city, you can simply steal it, though it will then no longer count towards war score. IIRC, they had built all their's to at least cities so if not fortified, I could just walk in a control it. Otherwise, ye olde siege took place.

well well have to do something about that wont we...
congrats on your 1000th post, its not many aars that reach this benchmark
Indeed, we will. I won't be resting on my laurels as far as war goes as we finish out, that is for sure.
To all - thanks on the congrats for reaching 1,000 posts. I think only
Into the West reached such heights. But to me, the number of posts truly means I just have a long AAR - long winded, long standing, long to finish...you get the point. Of all my work on this forum, my still favorite AAR of mine was completed in two months. Short, concise and a good story to boot, if I may toot my own horn just a bit.
For the Glory of Persia was fun to write and it was just about sharp from start to finish. It meant less struggle throughout, but also that I obviously had great fun during the entire ride. This would be shorter, I am sure, had I completed it back in April or May as was intended. And I am sure, one cannot discount the wonderful comments I have had along the way which helped build that number. That I still have such great readers at this late stage is a wonderful compliment to you, the Paradox community. Thanks for that and I can only hope I make it pay off for you as we end.
Speaking of that - look for the next update likely tomorrow or Saturday. Thanks once again!
