Within 6 months, most of Egypt had been gobbled up by me (Navarra), Pisa and Germany. I don't think Venice, who had been warring with the Fatamids for a full 2 years before anyone else, got a single province.
I had captured 4 counties, including Alexandria, Cairo and Gizeh before the Infidels unveiled their secret weapon... the Most Holy CTD of Allah!

in my game quite opposite happened. crusade was called against jerusalem. no reaction. byzantium was already crusading against fatimid lands
