Disloyal Vassal Event

Anyone seen the Disloyal vassal event which gives you a claim on the title of your vassal when you click okay? Problem is I've gotten two of these events within a few year period for the same vassal. And guess what?

His loyalty is 100%.

Perhaps this is not a bug, but it was surely over-looked if not.

Has anyone else seen this?

I'm not sure its a bug, events are meant to 'randomize things a bit' imo.

Playing devil's advocate, I could see the loyalty rating as sort of an amalgam of personal loyalty and casus belli, with the emphasis on casus belli because of the way loyalty affects gameplay. So, even though your vassal had 100% loyalty, and so no reason to act in an overtly antagonistic way towards you, he personally may have been plotting against you in secret. And you discovered this, giving you a claim against him. ;)

But the event should probably be tweaked slightly. Maybe the loyalty of the vassal discovered to be disloyal could be reduced by a small amount when the event fires?

I think it would be better that the event not have the chance of firing until a vassal's loyalty is below a certain amount. And if he's secretly plotting against you then he can't really be 100% loyal!

I would make it to where this event only has the chance of firing when a vassal's loyalty drops below 80%. And then the lower it falls the more chance of the event firing. Still random, but now just more realistic I think.

This is event 1100:

The event target your "worst_vassal", but if all of them have 100% loyalty, I guess it's a random vassal which is targeted.

Anyway, It's not possible to create an event for the liege, which is checking his vassal loyalty.

It would be possible to trigger an event from the vassal giving the claim to his liege, but that would be a bit silly, isn't it ? Why on earth as a player would you ever choose to give your liege a claim ?

And I am not sure player would like having a bad event like that firing whitout any b choice to avoid giving a claim.

I will log it anyway to see if people are coming back on this oine with good idea (or if I find a good one :D)...

I have gotten this event 4 or 5 times now, and each time it triggered, it did so for the same vassal. His loyalty was at 100.

Not sure if the game takes it into account, but the vassal's stats were very low, well below average.

If you can't use loyalty as a trigger condition can you affect loyalty as an outcome? If the vassal in the event had his loyalty cut by say...50 points he would now be disloyal, reflecting your discovery of his plotting.

There are several way to fix this one, none being straightforward, but I'll have a look... :)

I Know this bug is old, but it doesnt say fixed, and i think i know whats wrong. Worst_Vassal doesnt apply to the vassal with the lowest loyalty (which im guessing this event wanted), but rather the vassal with what appears to be the lowest stewardship (ive tested a number of parameters, its not the order of elective succession, its not prestige, seems like its stewardship, but im not certain).

Is Worst_Vassal intended to do this, because im having trouble identifying why targeting the vassal with the lowest stewardship is necc, and I dont know any events that use this
