in my games my sons have a tendency to not remarry after their first wife died, this often lead to "few heir" or "no heir" situations, they are fertile but they don't want to remarry,

It's a general problem with the AI not remarrying after their first wife dies.

Logged. Are all the people with a second wife designed in scenario start-up or does AI remarry at certain instances? Perhaps it just doesn't offer marriage but can accept marriage?

FWIW, AI rulers seem to always refuse marriage to my daughters even when they are single and have no children. They agree much more easily to have their brothers marry my daughter. Maybe that happens with inter-AI marriage proposals as well?
