As we have jumped ship, I thought I would bring back our last modding thread. Idea is simple, post a 3025 mech design. Anything goes!
If you haven't used a mech modeler before, remlab has a fairly simple one: http://remlab.sourceforge.net/. It has drop down menus for everything, which auto calculates tonnage use. Just click on what you want, then place it in the mech.

- [Click the Chassis Tab] Select Era and put 3025. Choose your MP, or movement point amount you want. More MP = more speed. If you're unsure just follow this guide. 3/4 Walking turret, 4/6 Foot Soldier, 5/8 Calvary, 6/9 + scout. A Black Jack is a 4/6, a Shadow Hawk is a 5/8, and a Locust is an 8/12 for example.
- Select the amount of jump jets and heatsinks you want.
- [Click the Armor Tab] Input armor amount. Battletech 2018 scales the amount of armor and damage done by 5 for visual goodness. For example, remlab shows 10 armor. This would equal 50 in the PC game.
- [Click the Armament Tab] Select the weapons and ammo that you want. ** Keep in mind the amount of heat this gear will build. At the top of the screen you will see Heat: ## / ##. This is the amount of heat you build if you alpha strike + run, and the amount you can dissipate per turn respectively. **
- At the bottom of the screen, or after clicking the [Allocate Items Tab], boxes with expandable options will be present. This is how you place your gear. Locations are abbreviated, so LA = Left Arm, LT = Left Torso, CT = Center Torso, RT = Right Torso, RA = Right Arm, LL = Left Leg, RL = Right Leg, H = Head,
- One finished, go to the top right of the UI, click Tech Readout, and hit ctrl + a to select everything. Simply copy and paste the result here.
