Watching Babylon 5 for the first time.
I wish I could watch Babylon 5 for the first time.

Does anybody know if the post-TNG Star Trek shows are worth the time and effort? I tried to get into Voyager a few years back but got well and truly bored after three episodes.

Hey@OP: Part of me wants to rate the reminder that it's STILL a month as "not helpful"![]()
To fill the vast void of space between now and then I am doing the following.
Watching Babylon 5 for the first time.
Awaiting the new Stellaris novel to arrive and read it.
Read the Foundation series.
This and of course the Monday dev post, the Thursday Blorg-cast, and Wiz and his random Stellaris facts each day. This all should keep me satisfied and ready for the 9th.
What others said. DS9 and Voyager are both worth it, but (like TNG and Babylon 5 for that matter) are slow to get going and rocky for a while at the start. DS9 has some of the most serialized storytelling Trek ever does and by the end really manages to give a feeling of events playing on a galactic stage. Voyager is for much of its run a bit of a throwback to the pure eposidic story-of the week style that made TOS great. It can bounce from really serious and thinky episodes to space opera set pieces to campy romps that refuse to take themselves seriously. I really enjoyed it, especially as a counter-point to the consistently more serious DS9.I wish I could watch Babylon 5 for the first time.

Stories do tend to get more interesting when the babes in skintight catsuits show up.Hey
Voyager is really good. Although I do prefer after Seven joins the show. I think the story gets more interesting at that point.
I wish I could watch Babylon 5 for the first time.

The next 30 days can't go quick enough! I've been looking forward to this release since the first time its development was made public. I can see this being my 'Go to' game for a long time.Hey

DS9 is the one worth watching. By season 3, it blows TNG out of the water entirely, but season 1 is a bit choppy, and the end is a bit silly. The other trek series are like TNG: pretty much garbage with the occasional gem.I wish I could watch Babylon 5 for the first time.

Required warning on LoGH: it is long*. Really long. And if a main character doesn't grab you, you can be stuck with a really tedious character arc.i just can recomend Legends of galactic heros, a real nice anime space opera, without all those stupid anime trophes we see nowadays.

It also does have a lot of tropes, but it is working with a different set from a different era.

It's LoGH, It's LoGH, it's Big, it's Heavy, it's Wood!
It's LoGH, It's LoGH, it's better than Bad, it's Good!
