The AT planes are pretty crazy. Have just played Pancera vs 3fsj. My planes couldnt handle the opponent airforce and by the end of the game the hs were strafing all my tanks at first sight and with extreme effect. Have barely won by dragging it out with meatshield strategy 1300 vs 1000.
The Polish division has some of the shittiest planes in the game. The hurricane was outdated trash in '44. You did the right thing by human waving with dollar store infantry.

One thing I really like about the 3. FJ is that it has such a versatile air tab similar to the 91.

After playing more my advice is to get all the PaK 40 you can for the 1200m range. When you're forced to deal with an open space Fireflies and Wolverines can be a pain.

That is why you stay over your AA. And why Allied players get upset about them.

If your opponent builds an AA network and buys defensive fighters. Stop bombing him..

It's like because they played allies they feel entitled to just bomb unhindered.

When I play allies and the axis put points into air defence. I push ground and buy some AA rather than feed losses.

Basically it's hard to fly offensive sorties as 3rd FJ unless you have a buddy deal with their AA with arty.

You can't bring fighter escort because in their territory vetted me109s are too slow and get swatted which was my point.

Have the Bf 109 on the map when you do strikes like that. It can loiter for several minutes. Then you largely remove the speed disadvantage compared to the allied fighters.

Yea unless the Allies refuse to buy AA me109s are defensive fighters.

I do find though that Axis tends to buy AA and defensive fighters, with few bombers. Because Allies buy a lot of bombers.

Allies tend to buy a lot of bombers, and then fighters to try and shoot down the fighters killing their bombers. Yet do not buy much AA.

The defensive fighters over their own AA survive, the bombers and fighters fighting over enemy AA die more often.
Allies then complain that Axis shoot down their stuff.

I play more Allies than Axis (played Axis a lot of launch. Switched to Allies last few weeks and play them 75% at the moment). I do play a LOT of games though, so play a few axis each day.

I get bombed as Allies FAR LESS, FAR LESS.
When I see Axis buy AA and fighters. Because they are so used to being bombed. I just buy more ground troops as Allies and push instead of expensive bombers and fighters.

Panzer L6 needs to go to at least 60 points or even more. Compare his effectivness with lets say the 45 point Panzer 35 Luftlande gets. It is unreal. It is not only a very good light vehicle killer and will beat Tetrarchs more often then not, it is also very good against infantry thanks to 10 HE bursts.

3. FJ is my main deck that I play in ranked and I agree. It is a powerful unit and deserves to be priced accordingly. Should be anywhere from 60-80.

Fallschirmjäger seems to be easy mode right now if you play axis in ranked. I would like them to get toned down a bit and improve the likes of Windhund and co.
Nah if you want easy mode you can play 3rd Canadian.

On a serious note it is one of the stronger decks on Axis. I think the 12. SS and Lehr are about on par with them.

Maybe also take the two stars from their AT guns...or were it the support AT gun....
Pretty sure Mad Mat or FLX said they add veterancy according to the historical feats of the unit. The FJ were about as vetted as they come. I don't think they use veterancy as a balancing tool.

I dont think they are on par, 3. FJ is on top because they are more versatile, they can do the same 20mm push in phase A as 12. or Lehr but if the terrain suits more infantry you can switch easily and rely more on infantry. Normally this versatility should come at a price but hey look at the support tab what we have....AT gun with high ACC, high ROF and HE and cheap :p

H39 is also 60 points and I'd argue the L6 outperforms it quite handily as well ) :

Yeah I don't know why in the world you would scout car rush with 3. FJ. Also the LG's HE is atrocious.

You have the same option to go for 20mm as 12. or Lehr but if the map is better for infantry you don't have the same drawback, that is the advantage or why the are on top.
I can tell you right now that is not why they are a competitive deck. You get one unit in phase A that has a 20mm cannon on it. I can sort of see what you are getting at but... that is not why they are good.

Ok now i'm curious because if their versatility without drawback isn't what make them the "best" competitive deck then I don't know why they are. What is it you think that makes them so good?

Let me add this...the price tag on most of their units is too good ;)
