This division is extremely strong. I can't believe that no one has mentioned the biggest thing about this division:

Luftwage Jagers have two squad light machine guns! This means they beat pretty much every allied infantry unit at >100m range except for a Browning in a house, for a tiny 25 points cost. In combination with one of the ridiculously cheap Lw. Jagers the 3 Fs. is pretty much infantry king of this game.

The only place it suffers is in the tank game, where it only has 1000m tanks. But the AT guns are good and it has a cheaper Hs that is more than capable of handling most shermans, and you have the 88. The 2 star fighters don't hurt either, and allow the Hs to do their work..

I call this division "Luftlande on steroids"

Yea Luftlande just seems to get better arty, more reservist spam and marders. Though double upvet Spahtrupp and Fusiliers can help from recon.

Falls gets better inf, interesting support and AT. Better upvet planes ?

Both get 88's. Falls gets more, but Luftlande can take double upvet singles.

I think Falls is stronger. More elite, where as Luftlande is more downvet and spam.

Comparing the scum division to the 3. FJ isn't really fair. the 91. is there for flavor purposes and it does have some good things like super vetted 88's and the venerable 129 B3. I really like the 91. and scum infantry are the most fun thing to use.

Luftlande is not a flavor division. It is quite capable, has not only "scum" but great infantry and a a par selection of Stugs. My point is that 91st is similar to 3rd Fs. and is stronger on the critical points of infantry and air superiority.

When I was calling it a flavor division I was sort of being sarcastic. I love both divisions equally and realize they fill similar roles with different ways of being supported.

Definitely the best division I've used so far. The opening game is really strong because Fallschirmjagers will beat out any other infantry unit in the game in close combat, the up vetted fighter you get will take down any other allied fighter in a 1 on 1, and that peculiar AT and your Henschel aircraft will subdue any armored pushes.

No way the 91. LL gets better arty.

phase A 50mm vs 80 mm mortars
phase B 80 mm vs 120 mm mortars

Ofc cost is always higher for more powerful arties, though

LL gets ig18, more powerful AT plane, spam reservist troops and a better optic for their recons. Plus the phase A rocket plane.

Yeah. To me the Fallschirmjager feels like how the Luftlande should have been... it's much more solid and well-rounded, and there's very little that the Luftlande gets which the Fallschirmjager doesn't also have.

Although, I'm actually pretty disappointed with the 3. Fallschirmjager airtab. No Fockewulf ASF? No Kanonenvogel Stuka? There's a lot of important planes that their missing for no real reason at all. Still a really solid deck though.

I'll take the elite Bf 109s any day, and you don't need both Hs 129 and Stuka G. One or the other is fine; in fact, with the resilience increase, the Hs 129 is probably better.

3rd FJ isn't very good. Bad income curve, reliance on expensive infantry, and ace planes inevitable lose to attrition. If LW Jager were available in A and B with hoards of FJ coming in C things would be different but atm the division can't afford to hold ground vs allied infantry divisions.

Impressive kill list..but once you leave your own airspace you can get overwhelmed without any AA support. Defensively vetted Messerschmitts are great.

The crazy survivsbility of Mustangs due to 700 kph is also worth mentioning: it's honestly hard to lose them as long as you don't fly over a fuckton of AA.

That is why you stay over your AA. And why Allied players get upset about them.

If your opponent builds an AA network and buys defensive fighters. Stop bombing him..

It's like because they played allies they feel entitled to just bomb unhindered.

When I play allies and the axis put points into air defence. I push ground and buy some AA rather than feed losses.

The AT planes are pretty crazy. Have just played Pancera vs 3fsj. My planes couldnt handle the opponent airforce and by the end of the game the hs were strafing all my tanks at first sight and with extreme effect. Have barely won by dragging it out with meatshield strategy 1300 vs 1000.
