I have no idea what your talking about Enigma you must have a long memory, only thing i remeber is you always were so stuburn which forced people to fight you.
Also you cant compare BOTF with this game, this game is far more complicated. Against a human Germany you would not win the war as there are ways around certain problems that you probably dont know.
I will look forward to meeting you on the battlefield in June 1941.
P.S once we make deals in this game we dont brake them, this is a very friendly group mostly. We have heated moments.
The reason we push so hard for a deal between the USSR/Ger is it is essential for a good game for all players. im not interested in just a good game for you, as the host im interested in a good game for everyone. So by doing the early war options in 39 as the USSR bascialy wreaks the game for other players. So save that option for when you play just a 4 player game in which it is more suited not an 8 player.
Also you will find MP a lot different to even the best AI, if you think thatp lan would work aginast a human germany i think you would be in for a rude shock. Maybe we will find out in another game.

Just a quick Merry Christmas to you all -- hope to get into some MP games in the New Year -- over in beautiful Perth on holidays at the moment, and with access to dial-up modem only....sad that.

We dont use the best strategy just to win a game. We play so that the game is fun and enjoyable for all. There is no point playing this game spending many sessions to see it runied just as things are ment to get interesting. All players in our group play like this and we work around problems when they arise. We dont play to get the WIN at all costs, games are for fun and enjoyment, and this is how we play.
We normaly play the the historical war dates, on most occasions and follow the events that lead to war. So for the new guys playing try to follow this, as this is how our group plays. The rest of us all know this as we have been playing HOI & HOI 2 together for 2-3 years now.
So by all means play the game to fight and win, but not at the cost of runin the game for others and perhaps the whole group. We give up to much of our spare time with these games for them to be quick affairs.

Speak to others in the group on how we generaly play our games. If you are intent on fighting Germany in 1939 in the next game, while there busy in france you will find the group will not accept, for a good long game who ever germany is needs to take france, if they dont then the game is over then and all the time spent wasted. So keep this in mind, as this is what our group wants and plays by.

Secondly, like I said before I am signing the MR so you dont have to worry about any pre-emptive strikes prior to June 1941 and I abide by group decisions. I am looking forward to seeing how the group interacts and conducts military ops.
