Situation report September 1942.
Eastern front. Many large battles have tacken place with the USSR weakening its northern front and contrating on the south and centre. The centre remained a stale mate besides 1 province falling to the USSR. The south were 3-4 provinces have been lost. In the north German forces can push all the way back to leningrad if they wish. Germany easily acocunted for the 40+ UK forces which make up the bulk of the defences in the north. Once again though you have to ask why take use less provinces.
Germany is currently upgrading the army to the new 43 infantry standard which now accounts for more then half of all forces on the eastern front with the reamainder completed over the next 1-2 months. Germany also completed research into its new secret Jet fighter program and upgrades are under way. This new weapon will wreak havoc upon all that dare enter the skies.
Overal the situation in the east is stable with the German army now gaining a crucial advantage over the USSR for 1943 with its new technologies. With the new panther tanks almost complete Germany will be in its strongest position on land and in the air for the Summer 43 offensives, all the battle till this point have just been to buy time.
Preperation continued in the west for any attempted invasion of france. Another 10 divisions were added to beach defences to make it nearly imporsible for any landings.
In the middle east the situation greatly imporved this session with Italy and Spain gaining a decisive victory over the Allied forces in iraq. Iraq was anexed from the oppresive UK regime and a new regime more to our liking was setup. Preperations for the invasion of Persia are now well underway. Germany wishes her allies every success and perhaps a land link to our japanese friends will be established. Even though strong US land forces have been seen in india, if the allies cant keep them supplied they will be easy pickings.
Reports from the pacific indicate the ongoing battles around Darwin ended with 1 Jap CV being sunk but the US lost 2 Carriers as wellas well as numerous other ships. It is good to note that the trend in US ship loses is increasing after the first few months of war produced little loss to the US fleet. The Uk fleet or lack of it remains no threat or the entried combined CW fleet for that matter.
Certain events transpired with vinchy france ending up at war with the allies. One wonders why the allies would make such an agressive move against the peaceful french. In any even the vinchy french forces push the allied forces back to the sea and secured a peace deal. It was a strange time, the mighty US beaten by vinchy france. With the north africa secured once again for a few more years axis forces can focus elswhere. It was also noticed that and Italian sub fleet sunk 4 US transports of the coast of africa.
Was a good session, lots of action. Events in the east will slowly wind down again with bad weather soon to appear once again. Its been a strange summer with peroids of rain and mud, not to mention the late start to summer and what looks like an early end. What will winter bring, constant soviet attacks to ware down Germanies manpower, i certainly hope so.
