To me though, the obvious solution would be to change the "Russian Patriarchate" idea to something else. As effective as this strategy is, it's a "Russia only" thing, all the other realms in the game only have Absolute Monarchy to fall back on. With that one removed, they have nothing. And revolt risk can still be lowered in lots and lots of ways.Asymmetric said:It's primarily about combining the Russian decision "Patriarch" (-5 war exhaustion), absolute monarchy (-5 war exhaustion), and max narrow minded sliders.

I know lots of people want the blockade WE changed, but I'm not so sure about that. As it is, the AI ignores blockading warscore unless having a high WE. If that effect is removed, blockading as a war strategy becomes much less useful, forcing you to acquire enough land power to fight land battles anyway.Asymmetric said:This and the last 3 teasers haven't mentioned any changes to WE (except the absolute monarchy change) their might be more tweaks to be announced. I would be kinda surprised if blockading to raise WE was as effective as it currently is when 3.1 comes out.

But you're right that we have lots of teasers left. Perhaps there will be more tweaks to WE.

The problem is primarily related to multilayer where you will fight players who will put a great deal of effort into crushing you in every way possible. Blockading is currently the easiest option to inflicting terrible long term damage on any state with a few ports. In multiplayer it is often used to force peace treaties far, far, beyond 100%, since refusal will often lead to the complete collapse of your state, or at the very least, its grind into stagnation. All this without even setting foot on your adversaries land.
Bluntly- if the new naval support limit changes are true and blockading/WE remains unchanged, I can't imagine why any state wouldn't go full naval sliders (save perhaps, patriarch Russia/Inland states). Hence why I suspect their will be further tinkering with the idea.

I want to upgrade to IN from NA, but would like a couple patches before doing so. This seems like a good time for that.![]()

Neblogai said:IIRC, the talk was about 21 teaser, 4 of them are released, so 17 to go. But there might be another problem- a bug was found where king Joao I is actually a queen, so I hear it could take up to 3 extra months to fix the issue properly.
