Seriously, I am not a "fanboy" type, but this is great. This is already the best historical strategy game I have ever played, and I have played most of them since the mid 80s.

I have never seen a developer so "tuned in" to exactly what needs to be done and does it instead of abandoning a game to work on other stuff. I'll buy every strategy game Paradox makes and recommend this one to anyone who stands still long enough. Dedication like this from a developer needs to be vigorously rewarded so other developers will follow suit...

I don't know if it was suggested before, but it will be great to have some kind of stats after a war ends, like the total of casualties per alliance and per country.

5 days after having got IN, I fast forwarded a Russia game, achieved these conditions, built 700,000 troops and dowed everyone. War taxes are then left permanently on and Russia goes berserker.

Was worth playing as Russia in MP just to see the worry it started causing ...

At present, it's the only real effective counter Russia has/had to prevent being screwed over by blockading WE's effects if it wants to truly expand and not be dependent upon a naval power.

Technically... if nothing else changed about decesions/WE/revolt risk/etc, it could still be done by a max decentralised Russia, dragging out even more negative revolt risk modifiers. I believe its possible to get some extra anti-max War exhuastion by reaching the revolution events as well. You could always just choose not to build constables ... you'll be running "raise war taxes" permanently after all.

The graphic in this thread Link says that absolute monarchy also gives +1 Global RR, which you haven't included in your calculation. I'm not at home to confirm this definitely happens though.

Personally, I think the logical conclusion from your explanation is that the bonuses need to be scaled back slightly, not that absolute monarchy needs to be turned into another generic government type that increases mililtary might.

Is there any chance of getting some sort of notification when particular advisors become available? Which you could set for a certain number of stars and a certain type. Unless you watch the advisor page like a hawk, the AI has a big advantage here.

it was a bug to due with the decision to move the capital to constantinople. They made the decision and later the province becomes isolated so they move somewhere else but then enforce the decision and become isolated again. Its fixed now.

I agree with you,I used to think that Civilization series(along with Koei's ROTK series) were the best empire-building strategy games around until I had played EU2~~~
And EU3 seems to raise its own bar with regards to empire-building strategy game,not to forget Paradox Interactive keeps on patching its games continuously.

Try deleting the file flagfiles.dds. That should refresh the flags that the game uses.

Ah, your quite right, I knew their was something I forgot...

Theirs at least one religious decision to reduce revolt risk with orthodox as well (i think at the cost of some tax income), which counter acts this.
