Is grabbing an entire list and removing the options you don't want really functionally any different from grabbing an entire list and only selecting what you do?

Is grabbing an entire list and removing the options you don't want really functionally any different from grabbing an entire list and only selecting what you do?

Eh...yes. It is a lot easier to select 3 units from a group of 25 and lose the rest rather than deselect 22 units, one at a time, until you have the 3 you want. This is a rather large improvement.

lol-I do use the ai quite often. Still, sometimes I have large groupings waiting for embarkation or just gathered at a good location to save supply drain. Perhaps one strange/different reason is that I tend to have something like training bases for new units. Those are really just a catch all for oddball stuff coming out of production. They go right next to the capital and pile up until properly organized and assigned. It is possible to create some hefty stacks using that method. The reason for utilizing that method has been partially undone with the new feature of dragging and dropping into the OOB dialog-that was another very nice addition to the game.

this is great but as always never completely happy!!! it would be even better if it would also select air and naval units in the area!!!, some provinces are hard to select the air or naval units when there are land units present.
so not only do you see the land units but also the air and naval as well, much like when you select all the child units of an HQ it would also show air and naval this be my two cents!! but keep up the great work love this game and you guys "bring good things to life!!!"

As long as you have some other air/sea units just select one of them and then shift+band select the area. It'll only select units of the same type.

This is a way too unknown feature (even though I'm pretty confident it was even in HOI2) - so read and learn kids! 8)

Reorganizing the british fleet last night, this was a ´lifesaver´:

For reorganizing fleets, i tend to pull them all to one spot at the start of a game. Normally, i could go by the statistics tab, but for fleets it´s a bit more complicated, as class is important as well as type. Usuallly it involves taking a lot of notes still. Not anymore: Simply group the whole fleet into one gigantic one first, and then detach from it fleets consisting of same type and same class (e.g. lvl2 light cruisers) and name them accordingly (e.g. LC2). When you are done with that, you´ll have a nice stack of fleets of same type and class each and will be able to see at a glance: ´Ahhh, 7 cl1BBs and 3 cl3BBs...´
Combining is easy due to the new 2nd-layer-selection. It would have been a nightmare without it. Example: I want two cl3BBs in one of my fleets and thus detach them from the cl3BB-fleet. Now, i want to add 2 heavy cruisers to that. Formerly, i would have had to de-select all but the new fleet and the heavy-cruiser fleet and click ´recombine´. Accidetely deselecting one of the two desired fleets used to force you to do it all over again. Not anymore: Simply pick the cruiser-fleet and the new fleet and hit re-combine. Creating your fleets from a megastack is pretty comfortable, now. Yay!

Now, i wonder: Is there any hope for ´selectable allied units´ to be implemented anytime soon, too? I´d really like to be able to select my french allies´ units - not to command them but to see what they have, how they have it organized and what they are upto (their current orders).

And another sidenote: We have the theatre-troops-demands in the theatre-tab, now, dont we? Then, cant they go from the production screen and thus open more space for the production queue for more items (or more details on each, alternatively) to be displayed?
