-25 Vassal King Malus stacking bug

First off, I understand that a -25 Vassal King malus was added in patch 2.1.1, that all Kings under an Emperor would get -25 because well, kings don't like to be under anyone. However, what I've found is that my vassal kings are getting -25 for each king-level title and above that I have instead.

Basically in this game I have two kingships (Bihar + Bengal) and two emperorships. My vassal kings are getting -25 for each title I hold, meaning a -100 hit. I had four kingships before this screenshot, and along with the emperor titles made every king have a -150 malus towards me. This makes no sense. Why should I be getting -25 for each title that I hold? This makes it extremely difficult to be the Cakravartin, which requires three empire-titles.

I'm having the same issue at Emperor level, but I don't have any vassal kings, so the problem isn't restricted just to that.

The malus comes from anything I own that someone else desires, usually a duchy, but each one is showing twice so at best I'm taking a -50 hit from my vassal dukes, at worst it's -100 or more.

Apart from it always showing twice, it is WAD. You may want to post some screenshots so we can see if it's working correctly or not.

The King vassal penalty was supposed to be fixed in a recent update. But your issue sounds like a different matter, as it was applied to any king vassal you had.

Are you updated to the latest version? What version and checksum do you have? Should be 2.1.4 (XQSJ). If you do, screenshot or save games would be good to see what is going on.

What is WAD? I don't know that acronym.

Servancour, I updated to the beta yesterday to see if it would make a difference, and unless this is a normal part of the game I'm mis-interpreting, it's still there. Screenshot below.

As you can see, Azzo here desires the Lordship of Gwinntguic twice.



Edit: Checksum is LHCV on the beta, XQSJ if I go back to 2.1.4.

As a sidenote: should this bonus be applied to the Ecumenical Patriarch? It seems weird that he hates the Byzantine Emperor. Maybe he should be made duke-level?

Noticed this also - basically a cheat for the player as the Patriarch will revolt with other vassals and sieging his church adds to warscore.

I would suggest a special "liege is the Emperor" buff to counter.
