also there are actually many tanks better than the abrahms, including germany's leopard II, and some of the new british designs are arguably even better than that, plus the british produce the finest tank armour in the world.

There are a few tanks that are competitive. They aren't neccessarily better. Regardless, some South American thing isn't one of them.

sorry for being a little of topic and beeing rude but: You started it with assuming that the Osorio is some kind of armored tractor just cus it's not built i the US. I strongly doubt that there is no tank ever built in South America that can't compete with the Abrahams...

btw, hope that the mod will be finnished...

I am very sure there are a lot of tanks that are better than M1A2 in terms of either speed, cost, armor, firepower, or a variety of special features such as mineclearing system, smoke release, anti-missle defence, and so on.

But I doubt that there are tanks that are better than M1A2 in ALL of those areas listed above, and that's what matters.

Damn couldn't he at least ask if anyone else is interested in working on this before leaving? It appers that he had a lot of work done on this and there are a lot of people who still want to see this finished, it's sad if it'll all be gone.

i just pointed out that the german leopard II is the finest tank in the world, it equals or better the M1A2 in every area, and the new armour upgrades on the British tanks, are at the very least bringing us into line, possibly pulling ahead of the M1A2 due to it's smoothbore gun Vs the standard british armament 118mm rifled.

That's very debatable. The German Leopards only beat American Abrams by a slight margin in trials, and as far as I know, the Germans have better tank crews, which means that the machines themselves are at least deadlocked.
