I'm thinking about buying Their Finest Hour from somewhere other than steam... So that I can obtain a FTM version of HoI whenever I want it.
Because I don't think DI: G/SaS will be patched into Their Finest Hour, And I'd like to play those with the 3.06 patch.

Edit: But then again, I want steam auto updates, Since I haven't manually patched a game since Steam released

For Ex: I got HOI III on steam with all of the DLC and Expansions for around.. 15$!

From time to time I read complaints or calls to help from people using Steam. Never read anything bad about Gamersgate or another provider. That doesn't mean it's representative of all the buyers, but that is no incentive for me to dare try Steam. There are rebates from time to time by each provider.

By the way, Hoi3 collection is now at 7,49$ on Gamersgate with Semper Fi and FTM at 2,49$ each. So 12,47$ for everything.

Same here ive used steam for years and about 75% of my games are through it and ive never had an issue. As far as HOI goes though i initially bought my copy through gamersgate so ill get the expansion there also. Im considering buying it through steam so i can 2 box it and play italy and germany at the same time .

Totally - GG also even has a thing you can click on where it will send you an email when the price drops on a game you want. That by itself has saved me TONS of $$.
