hello all..
so
1. Playing as brazil I just lost a war to the UK, why are there still 35000 British troops just hanging out in my lands and how do I get ride of them? I have no military access for them as far as I know.

2. Jacob rebels have just risen, I am not sure what they want and how it will effect me if I let them have the capital for a year, can someone explain to me what they want in Brazil?

1. I don't know why they haven't moved onto their own land yet, but troops in foreign soil when wars end are "in exile" and are pretty much useless (minimum possible organization) until they are moved onto friendly territory. They won't instantly vanish, but if a war starts you should be able to crush them.

2. Jacobin rebels will institute a democracy (unless you are an absolute monarchy or prussian constitutionalism) if they hold your capital for a month. They'll automatically select a lot of political reforms that allow everyone a vote and generally lean pro-citizen.

The AI is often prone to leave troops "in exile" when they have no other uses for them and especially when there's no direct land route to bring them back. Anyway it doesn't hurt you (no occupation damage, looting, or such). Still in case of another war with you they'll switch back to normal with full organisation.
The good news, UK can't declare on you with troops on your soil (but it can happen through alliances and call-to-arms)

Jacobin rebels want more democracy, if they succeed they'll change your regime to democracy (since Brazil starts as HM government with a reasonnable amount of reforms). As Brazil it can be useful since the more democratic you are the more migrants you'll get. Be aware that falling to a revolution takes only month in the capital, drops you prestige and resets all diplomacy (alliances cancelled, sphere also etc.) The resetting of alliance can cause someone to attack you if they have a CB on you.

Another cause of a country leaving their troops in exile is tag-switching. If you tag-switched to Great Britain at any point, they will never move those troops out of your land (or move any armies that existed at the time of the switch at all for that matter) until you save and reload the game. Tag switching does some funky things with the AI.
