1) When do elections for the HREmperor occur in the game? I mean, are the death dates of monarchs fixed, or is there some random element? (In other words, can I look it up in a book and find out exactly when the first election will occur based on when the first HREor in the game will die?)

2) Is it possible to forcibly convert a province to a different religion, or is this merely a random act which sometimes occurs? (In one game, I put down a revolt in Sudeten, which was protestant, and a dialog box appeared telling me that my Catholic soldiers went 'witch hunting', and from then on the province was Catholic.)

How you awake our sleeping sword of war.
We charge you in the name of God, take heed;
For never two such kingdoms did contend
Without much fall of blood...'

I don't remember. But you can look up starts and ends of every monarch in the game in the monarch files in the database.

If you send in a colonist (as a missionary) in a province, which population has fallen below 5000 then it can be converted. Rebellion and beating rebellion and pllaging decreases the population.
