Just like I started a gushing thread earlier, now it's time for the promised nit-pick thread.

*Ahem*

First off, as everyone else has been saying, the AI needs some work. The problem, I think, is not so much lack of aggressiveness as it is a lack of strategic thinking. Tactically, the AI is great and has thrown (what I thought would be unstoppable) forces off their doorstep multiple times. The problem is they don't really see a lot of strategic decisions being made. This became abundantly clear in the game I just finished, when I marched my forces into the King Lich's lands only to see he had almost no standing army. He held a lot of territory, but aside from a couple zombies and Skeleton Snipers, he didn't have a force ready to invade or defend. And he's the one who declared war on me! IMO, the AI needs to do a better job focusing on building and maintaining a strike force, since that's what the game revolves around.

Secondly, is it too late to change the controls? Because left clicking to make selections and give orders (and skip animations) leads to a lot of accidental commands. There's a reason most games use multiple buttons for this. I'd even be happy with Shift-Clicking.

Third, a civilization manager window would be uber helpful. The game does a good job pointing you at things you need to do each turn, but late game it would be a lot easier if there were a simple way to see what units can be produced where. Among other things

Fourth, there are just some basic UI issues. For instance, the upgrade menu needs some minor attention. Clicking the icon opens it fine, but the only way to close it is to select an upgrade or deselect the unit. It seems that it would be easier if you could simple click the icon again to close it. This could also make it easier to give a unit multiple upgrades at once, rather than the current method of having to reopen the menu every time. Additionally, the Spell casting window is too small for late game. Yes, the filters help, but it can still be difficult to find the spell you're looking for when you have >20 spells in that filter.

I'm sure I can find more nit-picks, but those are the ones that stick out the most, atm. Will post more as I recall them.
