My norse germanic ruler was married to a germanic priestess, vassal of another king. The king converts to Catholicism, then forces his subjects to convert too (incl. my wife). All of a sudden, I'm a catholic too. I wasn't even asked if I wanted to adopt new religion or not.

869 start, theology focus at time of conversion

What's more, I can still raid some (not all) fellow Catholics.

Well, I was an independent petty king, my wife (gydja) was a subject of King of Denmark who converted. It only affected me, our kids remained Germanic.

Oh, I see. In that case, I think the bug is in event 39617 (religious_events.txt). This is a followup event for vassals after a pagan ruler converts to the religion of a proselyting foreign ruler. The vassal gets a choice to convert, but their spouse does not get a choice.

Code:
       any_courtier = {
           limit = { is_close_relative = ROOT }
           religion = FROM
       }
       any_spouse = {
           limit = { is_consort = no }
           religion = FROM
       }

Both of these should exclude rulers.
