I don't know if this is a bug, but it sure feels like one.
2.7, WHGQ - All DLC owned, all but SI enabled.
Second Ironman game in a row this has happened. Basically, couple of hundred years into the game, my rulers (all with above average intrigue and good relations with high intrigue spymster) start dropping like flies of "suspicious circumstances".
No death is preceded by an assasination event ("something is moving in the bed! Oh, my, a snake!").
The first save was over-written (I restarted) but here is the second. Was trying to do a Charlemange game from start to end (had never done that).
Here is the save. No mods used. Satanists turned off.
It's really frustrating. In the first game, it was six rulers in quick succession with death from suspicious circumstances. In this one, just two, but they were a year or so apart with no obvious trigger or in-game reason why they would happen.
