2.7 (WHGQ) Convert to local religion decision gone

I noticed that i can't change my state religion to the one of my capital county. This is true (and tested) for most cultures and religions. This became a real problem when my father (who converted via his spouse) already had converted two of my provinces to Sunni Islam. Because when he died, his son (me) first decided that sunni wasn't for him. So he "falsely" of course, confessed faith in the finnish paganism that was his liege's de facto religion...

When it comes to paganism everyone knows that moral authority just isn't their thing, so my capital was plagued by a big risk of rebellion when i tried converse it to the one true faith. My court chaplain was a big hero that actually survived this...

Don't ask me why but i apparently changed my mind and swore fealth to the local tengri nomad horde and got a new court chaplain. Of course i also changed my state religion to tengri (via some concubine) and tries my luck trying to convert the locals to tengri faith.

Swearing fealty is probably the issue. According to the Wiki this only works when you're independent or your liege is of a different culture

I just watched some of Arumba's Kingdom of David game and he had the same issue when he stopped being Jewish. But his Muslim liege was still Ethiopian.

Thanks for the help people. Guess i didn't have the prestige and was not aware of that it had been moved . I will test it in a no-ironman game .

Tested it in a no-ironman game with some console commands help. It worked out really good so thanks for the help solving my problem

Hey,

Protip : if you can't find some of the decisions you were used to see earlier, try right-clicking either yourself, your liege, your spouse/concubine or the province's coat of arms.
=> In an effort to unclog the Decisions panel, we've started to move some decisions so they become targeted decisions instead.

And don't worry, we're thinking of ways to make it clear/clearer when we do that/add some new targeted decisions.
