Ironman game from 769 West Francia start. Player character is an immortal 54 year old Karl Karling culturally converted to Norse, who successfully formed the Holy Roman Empire.

Berserker trait event fires during combat as normal. Trait persists during normal gameplay until resigning. However, on resigning and reloading, the berserker trait disappears from the character. No in-game event; it's just gone. It appears that this bug can be reproduced 100% of the time. The save game attached to this post is saved on the berserker event. Clicking to accept, resigning, and reloading should reproduce the bug.

All DLC other than Customization Pack and Ruler Designer are in use with this save game. No save game modifications or third party programs or mods were used. Back up saves were used (anticipating bugs such as this).

P.S.: Additional bug found while attempting to troubleshoot this trait loss issue. On repeated resigning and reloading, the primary title reverts to being the Kingdom of West Francia rather than the Holy Roman Empire. The empire title still exists and is held, but is no longer primary. Quitting and restarting the game resolves this issue.

Update: in the same Ironman game, the berserker trait is retained after dying (on loading, the trait is not removed from the dead berserker character).

Hello,

The issue here appears to be that this event should only fire for characters who are Norse and also Germanic (Pagan).

This means that when the game is restarted it re-evaluates if you should have the 'Berserker' trait and decides that you should not because your character is Norse but not Germanic (Pagan) which is why it is deleted.

Thank you for your report I have added this issue to our internal issue database.

As for your second issue I did not observe this issue while I was looking at your save do you have clearer reproduction steps for this?

Thank you for the response. I had thought the omission of a religious requirement for the berserker event was intentional to accommodate non-Germanic berserkers such as the Reaper's Due immortal rival, Uran, who is generic pagan. My mistake.

To your follow-up about the primary title bug: I have been unable to reliably reproduce this issue, but it is reproducible (I have seen it happen multiple times). Resigning and reloading repeatedly in a single game session seems to be the only apparent cause. Perhaps it is an issue local to my device or installation of the game. As I mentioned, it is fixed by quitting out of the game entirely and restarting, so it does not seem to be a major problem.
