Also notice the large black area in the background. This is in the game, it seems to eminate from a stationary retinue unit and rotate back and forth as the unit turns? I think this is because I copied the save over from my Windows partition, I don't know if that is unsupported or what. However, the screenshot weirdness is not because the savefile was from Windows, the same thing happens on a save I created in linux.

Ha ha, your game looks haunted, I would suggest calling an exorcist or buying a flamethrower at this point !

On a more serious note, I can't repro that on my end. I would have blamed the hardware, but you seem to say that you get the issue on both windows & linux ? Is that correct ? Or did I misunderstand and you actually used a Windows save but only took the screenshots on linux ? If that's the case, it may come from your linux machine itself.

Good things to try are to check with another save/fresh save and on another computer, too.

Are you using any mod, by the way ?

This happens with any save on linux only (the blackness is just the windows save on linux, however). It can't be a hardware issue, my machine is dual boot and I play CKII just fine on the windows partition. I don't have a second computer that can run CKII right now, unfortunately.

Edit: Running no mods with this save (or the clean save I tried).

We've checked it out on both Windows and Linux, both with fresh saves and the ones you provided, but screenshots are fine. You could always try a clean reinstall of the game if you want, but if it doesn't fix it, I'd suggest contacting Tech Support instead.

Cheers,
