I don't know if this will help but here's my save game as well. Things to know..

- I'm playing with the HIP mod with with all its modules (2017-05-05 release), no other mods
- All DLC active
- Epidemics set to "fewer"
- The Smallpox is the disease bug in question, it keeps jumping between Constantinople to a province nearby then back again.
- I noticed it first began when it and another epidemic were overlapping the same area (maybe bugging the spread?)

Version 2.7.0.2 does not have the bug. Rolling back, is the only solution i found to avoid it.

Version 2.7.0.2 does not have the bug. Rolling back, is the only solution i found to avoid it.
If you're not opposed to modifying game files, the timeperiod { max_total_provinces } defines in common/disease/00_disease.txt can cure the neverending epidemic.

I had camp fever in Iceland and Faroe Island for ~150 years before I got sick of it. Didn't want to abandon this game. Changing max_total_provinces is the only thing I found that can nudge the epidemic into clearing out. Hope this helps...

Can confirm this bug in my game that I just finished. Are more save files needed, or do the devs have this one figured out?

@killnU - sounds like a good potential workaround, but change {max_total_provinces} to what? When dealing with code, it's always good to be precise.

@killnU - sounds like a good potential workaround, but change {max_total_provinces} to what? When dealing with code, it's always good to be precise.

I used "2", for no particular reason other than it was lower than the 5 provinces I had infected.

There's multiple instances of that define, though. Each disease has multiple timeperiods {}. Your game rules determine which is in effect.

Adding a reply to you just in case pinging you directly helps... I had Iceland and Faroe Islands suffering from Camp Fever for ~150 years. It started in South Iceland, spread to the rest of Iceland, jumped to Faroe Islands but then couldn't spread further due to sea zones. I lowered max_total_provinces to "2" (below the 5 counties I had infected) and the epidemic cleared out fully. Feels to me like it won't start clearing out until max_total_provinces is hit. Hope this helps.

If this bug wasnt in the last version of the game but only appeared in this version. Shouldn't we just compare the 2 disease files and see what was changed? Or is the problem located elsewhere. Id really like to fix it since god knows when Paradox will hotfix it

This is the main bug atm that's preventing me from playing the game. Ever since I encountered it i haven't touched the game in 1-2 weeks.

Yeah but it requires you to exit the game every time you notice the endless epidemic occurring, go into the files and switch a few numbers. But that doesn't stop it from reoccurring in the same game.

Look at Ginganinja screencap. It can happen quite a lot.
1) yes it does stop it from reoccuring, so long as you don't change max_total_provinces back. I'd rather deal with one or two neutered epidemics than an unplayable game.
2) 2 is "a lot"? Only 2 epidemics in that screenshot have been running too long.
3) fine. don't play. no skin off my nose.

The ones started in 1000 and 1019 are also stuck - there's four total in the screenshot that are stuck, starting 801, 806, 1000, 1019. I'm through to the mid 1100s now, and even more have got stuck since that screenshot in 1034.

Yeah, we came to the same conclusion. However, I suspect another related issue lying somewhere because we also have an issue with infinite Black Death, bypassing the islands thing. I've had a quick look at the script but couldn't find the source of the problem, but a ticket has been created for that situation as well, and content designers should be much more qualified than I am to correct the problem.

If you guys are already in a fixing mood here is another minor thing for you.
1. Unmarried female with seduction focus hunts for a new lover so she can invite him and matrimarry him.
2. Said female gets pregnant while she is NOT married to the guy yet but popup is delayed for a few months so the player doesn't know about it.
3. Female successfully gets him as a lover, invites him and matrimarries to him.
4. Popup comes up she is pregnant.
5. The child is born, he/she gets the mother's culture properly, but the dynasty will be the FATHER's.
