I have All DLCs.

When Revolt War has ended inconclusively, some bugs have appeared.

e.g. I'm vassal King. And my direct duke vassals declared war of rebellion on me.

But after the war has ended inconclusively, I cannot join or make faction against my liege, the Emperor.

Plz check this bug and fix it. :)

This bug actually came with the infamy Conclave DLC~
It happened when both of u were in the same Defense Pact and got triggered. As both of u now allied, the war become invalid but the game failed to restore the Revolt to its previous status.

This is quite literally the first I've heard about this apparent issue. Rebelling realms shouldn't be able to join defensive pacts, so I'm not sure how what you are describing is even possible.

Also I doubt that this has anything to do with the OP's issue since he is a vassal, which means he also shouldn't be able to join defensive pacts.

If you can provide an example of your suggested issue, can you make a new report with a save game.

Not that the revolt join defensive pact, but it join the pact before it started the Rebellion.
The case is rather rare, I have never have issue with my direct vassal, but I did saw some cases that my vassal of vassal or AI vassal around my ream stay as Revolt in peace.
Hence I did some test and found out it was the defensive pact causing the issue~By that time, it was version 2.5.x. I am not sure if someone found the issue and reported nor if there's patch to fix it.

Basically u need 3 elements to re-create this issue:
1. Both of them were in the same pact.
2. One rebelling another.
3. The target of the pact declare a war on someone to trigger the pact.

I can't see how that is even possible. Rebelling factions aren't considered Independent and shouldn't be able to join a pact.

Not sure either, but somehow it happened~I never have the chance to find out how to it managed to stay in the pact as a vassal.
But u still missing the point. They ARE NOT joining the pact AS REBEL, but ALREADY A MEMBER of the pact before it happened~

Vassals are not independent and will also be stopped from joining the pact. What you are suggesting should be impossible to pull off. Without more information about how you are breaking the basic mechanics of the game, it is hard to find the cause.

That's why I have no idea how it happened. It's very rare and hard to notice. I always start at 769 and end at 12XX. Usually only happen once or two in a game.
All I know is, when I saw a rebel in peace and look up the old save, it's already in the pact as a vassal and still a member of the pact as rebel afterword.
But since I discovered this bug, I always disabled the defensive pact game rule. And I never saw this bug happened again, which at some point confirmed my theory.

Likely more to be confirmation bias I suspect - wait can you confirmation bias yourself... Only true until you see it again.
