I can't invite the heir to the duchy of Wessex because he is "abroad". I finished educating him 5 years ago; he should be back home by now. But somehow, I am still his host, so I can't invite him to become his liege.
This happens often enough to be annoying, but not often enough that I've figured out what triggers it.
I am playing with all expansions enabled, so this is with the Conclave education system.
Workaround: edit the save to change his host to match his liege.
