As King of Italy, I betrothed my daughter to the son of a foreign duke, and subsequently got the "minor noble playing up" event chain, which caused the NAP (but not the betrothal) to be cancelled.

Upon reloading the save on later play session, the NAP is restored, meaning I can't push a de-jure claim against the duke.
DLC: all gameplay expansions.
Mods: Better Looking Garbs (Ironman compatible).

Save attached, NAP is with King Murray of Albany.
