[2.6.2] switched to budhism, no option to designate heir

As per the title, started as a hindu duke, changed to budhist via "change to liege religion" decision. Have played more than a year and multiple reloads but still unable to designate my heir. It's not even appearing as a greyed out option or in the list of honorary titles.

Buddhist and Jain both designate their heirs in the character interface. If you go to any child of yours, that isn't the primary heir already, you will have a button at the top right of the portrait. Clicking that will make that child your primary heir instead.
