2.6.2 sieges being won while losing battles (intended?)

I've seen a fair bit of this since the latest patch. You attack an enemy army and are decisively beating it yet it manages to conclude a siege before being routed. Sure it's a matter of a couple days to take it back but it's certainly annoying...

Known issue. Currently, sieges will continue even when you engage the besieging army. The siege used to "pause" until the conflict was resolved and then continue if the hostile army won.
