Load the attached save:
* Egypt is independent.
* A vassal is about to win a "Revolt for Azam's claim on Egypt".
* Azam is a courtier of a duke who is a vassal of Hispania.
Let it run for a few days:
* When the revolt succeeds, Azam becomes the Sultan of Egypt... and Egypt becomes a vassal of Hispania!
All expansion DLCs are enabled. The game was running Exclave Independence and a few other mods when the revolt started, but I can still reproduce the issue by loading with all gameplay mods disabled. I was playing as the Count of Treviso.
