Game, No mods, iron mode

My poor Dutches was killed by the nasty bishop of sticht during a battle against pagans.

Hmmmm, makes a great story though.

She was actually pregnant so I think that she actually died while giving birth.

It is possible that you were a commander. Game is really bad about lieges putting you in battle. You would need to check a save and see if you are "reigning in X" or leading troops. But regardless I have many instances of the wrong people dying in battle - IE they are killed by your forces rather than the enemy

Yeah I just had it happen again.. "Your men cornered XXX and killed him like a rabid rat. GOOD RIDDENCE." Except he was my main general.

It seems to me that a lot of events are getting reversed. Like you get a penalty for killing enemy prisoners in your realm instead of with their people.

Makes sense to me, The opposite always happens. The more health you have you will die younger. While weaker and fail you are you live till your 70. One game I was Homosexual and my Wife was also and we were both Chaste. And we had 9 kids all boys. That's why i stop playing Vanilla because the events and outcomes don't make any sense. Vanilla kills off my Adult leaders so I will end up playing a Child leader. Which in this case your liege might revoke your Land. Or your Vessels will take advantage of you or kill you off. So the game ends faster. The AI also set things up to split my land up. Looks that way in your case also. It does this all the time. every game.

We've done some fixing to the event were you kill a commander a while ago and should be included in the upcoming patch. Hopefully, this issue should be fixed once and for all this time (fingers crossed).

That would be nice because now I envisioned like this

The Bishop of Utrecht returns from the battle bragging about how he killed those heathens. He takes his sword to show how lopped off the head of Ungmar Ulfson and waves it around. Then he loses grip on his mighty weapon what was unfortunate for the Countess of Holland who just walked to gratulate him. The sword pierced her slender body and she died instantly.

The Bishop made sure to tell that because of the way she died the countess would sure go to heaven. He left a few minutes later to make sure that if the new count disagreed that he would have some stone walls between himself and the counts anger.

Lucky for him because of the bug was the count not angry (but the human playing him was). Still somehow he got assassinated later...
