I start a new game as ruler of HRE in 1066. After a few weeks (random) I get:

This happens randomly all the time, so it is not possible to play. I can play for max 5-10 minutes.

I am using Conclave. Not using any mods.

I haven't had any crashes on my Linux machine, running Ubuntu. I'll check it out once I'm back at the office tomorrow.

You could try to do a complete re-install though, and see if that fixes anything.
-Go to the save game folder and backup your save games. It should be in home\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II, or something similar.
-Delete the Crusader Kings II folder.
-Uninstall Crusader Kings II.
-Re-install the game.
