## It seems that the heritage focus (my guess) causes characters to adopt weird cultures and religions ##
In my newest game (startdate 867) the king of france seems to have turned into an ashkenazi jew some time after his birth (note the french name). I didn't think much of it since it allowed a member of my dynasty to inherit his throne but some time later his heir became an ashkenazi (and jewish) as well. The same applies to several sons and a daughter of the emperor of the HRE. Also he offered me to ransom his daughter from him (its his daughter, and she is at his court).

What may or may not be related to this issue is that another of his sons is greek orthodox. This can of course happen occasionally but it still seems odd in this particular case as he never left the HRE.
