So this one duke decided to holy war my liege right after he succeeded to the throne because he had a bit less troops. He gathered his army and started seiging one province. My liege put his army in the adjacent province but obviously didn't attack because of the army size. As the time passed, liege's army reinforced to about 3 times the size of duke's army but he still didn't attack him. I attacked duke's army, he retreated, I went on to fight other people.

After duke came back with even less troops, my liege still refused to move anywhere. It lasted for about 2 years, with me or allies coming to kick duke out and it came to this:

My liege's lands in the north are being ravaged by some nomad but he doesn't want to go there either. Might it be because AI still thinks it's army is still small even after it reinforced?

E.: AI just hired some mercenaries and is now unstuck. But it still seems to be rather odd.

We've observed some issues with the AI in some cases when it tries to reinforce it's current army. I'm guessing that is what's happening here.

You don't happen to have a save game I could look at, from just before or while this is happening?
