As you can see, that hostile army is walking right through mine, even though it is not doing a shattered retreat. No combat even happened. Right after this screenshot was taken, that army walked into the province with that rebellion's army, Poitiers, and did not engage that one either.

It might be relevant, that army was raised when I fired the faction that started the revolt, and it lost a lot of troops as the lords supplying them were no longer his vassals. That army either was fighting a battle or had just finished one when the faction was fired. Unfortunately, I can't recall if it had won or lost.
