I'm talking about this type of event:

If you click option 2 here, it swaps the trait as stated on the tooltip. But option 1, as I've noticed, does not give you a right trait and instead child gets a trait he would acquire from option 2.

The first option actually sends an event to the child, who then gets the option of accepting the intervention (in this case, becoming Cruel) or ignoring it and gaining the other trait. There are no modifiers on these options, so AI child has a 50/50 chance of picking either of them. Hence, about half the time you pick that first option, you should see the child gaining Gregarious (or whatever) instead of their educator's alternative trait.
