Ever since Horse Lords was released (patch 2.4 and later), matrilineal marriages seemed to be bugged. Every time I play the game with my personal mod, female rulers seem to marry regularly without giving any thought to the preservation of their dynasty. This really breaks the immersion when you play realms using either Enatic (female only) or Enatic Cognatic (female before male). I can understand if a female ruler marrying normally if the husband is either of equal rank or above. However if a female ruler is marrying a man who either below her in rank or some unlanded nobody who isn't heir to anything, then the marriage needs to be matrilineal. This bug as resulted in some ridiculous situations in my mod. In one of my result game sessions, one my character's vassals, the Duchess of Bostra normally married some unlanded Levantine muslim courtier who then managed to marry every one of his wife's count level vassals, turning the government of the Duchy of Bostra into his personal harem (He hadn't even generated any decadence as a result). In both Cyrenaica (k_africa) and Scythia (k_taurica), the Queens and their vassals either don't marry (having bastard daughters which they unable to legitimize) or marry normally (dynasties changing with each succession). Even you add in matrilineal marriages in the history / characters folder, they will change to normal marriages (even if the husband is a lowborn) when the game loads. If any devs are listening, is there a hotfix that will address these issues?
