I've made a mistake to the title. I meant to say "War to seize city ends when target dies"*

Playing as Venice and declared seize city cb on Croatia (they converted to Catholicism). Croatian Duke dies in battle and is succeeded by his infant son -> the war ends because my CB was apparently no longer valid.

This made no sense, since I could just redeclare war again using the exact same CB. There is no reason why the death of the enemy lord means that this war have to end. All this did was force me to abandon my mercenaries and levies, only to start another war. Pointless.
