[2.4.3 beta 3] Banishment on a landed vassal working strangely

My count rebelled against me, so I decided to banish him from my duchy and seize his gold.

What I expected to happen is his county to be revoked from him, his gold transferred to me and him getting expelled to some other Slavic country. What happened instead was him abdicating in favor of his son and becoming his courtier and immediate heir.
