[2.4.2] Random crash in ironman game

In my ironman game as Sweden, I've made it from the charlemagne bookmark to 24th of July 966, conquering and pillaging far and wide. When I reach the 30th or 31st of july, however, the game freezes up for about 3 or 4 seconds, and then crashes without any kind of notification, just closes down instantly. Would love to have a solution so I can keep playing.
