[2.4.2 AJJW] pope still calls crusader even though no christdom left

Destroyed the whole christdom including Rome before 900 as Umayyad, but right after 900 even though no holy order holdings exist, the pope still call crusade, and the order battalions (albeit a weakness ones)pop up from… the sea near Rome. Very gamey to have +75 vs infidels bonus for a weak crusade. Even worse, at 1030 now, the pope call crusade for Afghanistan, sort of funny if you ask me.

Don't think this is a bug, but maybe not the best game design.

You can stop the crusades from happening by keeping the catholic moral authority between 5% at all times, but this is probably very difficult. The best option, without modding or any kinds of cheats, would be to convert to orthodox christianity, mend the schism and then go back to sunni or whatever you are playing as.
